Introduction to the FIP card
FIP – Facilités de circulation Internationales du Personnel des chemins de fer – International Travel Facilities for Railway Staff comprises a group of European rail and shipping carriers who have voluntarily agreed a mutual exchange of staff travel facilities.
Its purpose is to set out the rules, pursuant to which the members grant each other staff travel facilities for duty and private journeys, with the aim of simplifying, harmonising, and organising in an efficient manner the procedures involved.

Company employees are eligible for FIP facilities after 12 months’ service. FIP facilities are provided subject to the goodwill of the company and reciprocal third parties concerned and may be modified or withdrawn at any time. No person has any contractual right or entitlement to FIP facilities. Click on your country to find out where to obtain it.
Use the FIP facilities
Most FIP facilities are for leisure use only. It is forbidden to use FIP leisure facilities for journeys undertaken for lucrative purposes or for journeys serving the interests of a third party. Please contact your compagny for more information if you are required to travel on business.
